Keith was born August 4, 1967. He passed January 16, 2012 after a long illness and open heart surgery.

Family Reunion Update
Hello everyone, I have returned from Las Vegas and thanks for Bobbie Leffall and Carolyn Hooker, I was able to visit and determine cost of all the activities and made final agreements with the Hotel and Country Club
I had told you the Room rate would be $42, when you add all of their fees and taxes, the final rate will be $58.42 per night. The registration fee will be $90 per person and $35 for children 3 – 12 and up to 3 are free.
The activities will be as follows
Sunday, Reception Wild Horse Country Club $25
Monday, Picnic at Paradise Park $15
Tuesday Banquet Wild Horse Country Club $ 45
Book and DVDs $5
In addition, you will receive a treasure of your history, along with DVDs of picture both old and new and an address book with all family members information.
Please provide pictures and addresses, both physical, telephone cell and home and email address, so that we will have a complete picture history.
I will be putting the package together in the next two weeks, I am waiting for prices for family T-Shirts. I look forward to seeing all of you. Love Floretta
New Family Member arrival
It has been a long wait, but the wait is over. Brianna has given birth to a healthy baby boy. EriKai Ryder Cooper weighs the same as Brianna did at 9 pounds, 21.5″ in height and arrived at 3:19AM on August 13, 2011. Mother and baby are doing fine. Congrats to both.
Something to Ponder …
Between the events of the reunion, would anyone be interested in taking in a show? Depending on the numbers interested, it might be possible to get a group rate. As we get closer to the date, we will be able to see which shows will be available during our stay and at what rates. What does everyone think?

Hello everyone, Just wanted to let you know the status of events for the upcoming Family Reunion. I have the contract from the Excalibur Hotel. The rates are $40 per night. The dates are June 17-20, 2011. I have also found a place for our reception and banquet/dance. We will be at the Wild Horse Country Club in Henderson NV. Keith and Josephine had their wedding there. They are offering a must better rate than any of the Vegas Hotels did and it is much nicer. The facility is beautiful.
I have set up a tee time on early Monday morning for any of you that may want to golf.
I need your suggestions on activities we could do on Monday and Tuesday during the day. Any ideas you have, let me know via any of the means below.
We have set up three different ways for us to communicate for this reunion. We have a Face Book page (Kirby Family Reunion 2012) that was developed by Stacy Turnage. We hope that members that are on Face Book will use this to get information and post their comments and pictures.
We have a family web site that Keith Smith developed and we can use this to communicate and share information. We all want to share family pictures and we will be updating our Family Tree and sharing pictures also. You can access the page at http://ksmitty.com

In addition, Dee Dee Ward is going to be developing a current directory. She will be asking you for your name, address, telephone # and email address. She will also be asking for you to send your pictures, so that we can develop a DVD of family members and previous family reunions. If you don’t send pictures and when you see the DVD, you are not included, don’t get upset.
I am really excited about this reunion, we want as many family members and friends to attend this reunion as possible. I promised you we would keep the cost for registration at less than $100 and still have it be nice.. It looks now that we will be around $90 – $100. I will be developing a price for children under 12. This is still a work in progress. I am doing most of this via phone. I plan to make the sacrifice and go to Vegas to finalize the plans sometimes in September or October (smile).

Future Birth Notice !!!
Brianna is expecting to have Diana Ward’s 2nd grandson any day now. The baby is expected to arrive later this month. Our Prayers go out for a sucessful birth. More news to come as soon as it happens.
